IDF refrigerated air dryer series, in compliance with the Montreal Protocol Regulations, uses refrigerants R134a and R407C to prevent any damage to the earth's ozone layer. (Medium size series use R22). Series IDF can accommodate an inlet temperature of 40°C. Corrosion resistance is improved by using a stainless steel, plate type heat exchanger.

The new AFF70~90D improves upon the performance of the classic AFF with a 1µ particulate rating and increased water removal capabilities. Additionally, flow capacities are improved over the current models. Installation space is saved by integrating the traditional AFF filtering function with the water removal of the AMG. A lightweight stainless bowl assembly saves improves handling and simplifies service.

The AMG series water separator is installed on the air pressure line to remove water drops from compressed air. It is available in 7 sizes with a variety of optional combinations to meet your application requirements.

THeavy duty auto drain series ADH4000 can be maintained without changing existing piping. There is no need for electric power and no waste of air. Float style drain allows automatic drain discharge without electric power.

Series AMD can separate and remove aerosol state oil mist in compressed air and remove carbon or dust of more than 0.01µ. It should be used as prefilter for compressed air in precision instruments or for clean room requirements.

Series AR-B regulators from SMC have been updated to the new urban white base color for a clean modern look. The AR-B series has a maximum set pressure of 125 psi and offers embedded gauge and pressure switch options not found in the AR-A while maintaining panel mounting interchangeability with the previous AR models. The locking adjustment knob prevents accidental setting changes. Options include a mounting bracket and set nuts for panel mounting. The modular design of the AR-B series connects with other SMC air preparation equipment of similar size. The new AR-B is available in six body sizes with piping from 1/8" to 1" in Rc, NPT and G.

The VHS series provides a convenient means of isolating supplied pressure in a pneumatic system and exhausting downstream pressure for maintenance purposes. The units can be locked in the exhaust position and can be an integral part of an energy isolation system. Air flow direction is easily identified by handle orientation and labeling. They can be used alone or can be conveniently connected to an FRL assembly using modular spacers.

The ALD series, installed in a main airline, is designed to feed oil to various valves, air cylinders, air tools, etc. The use of the ALD series makes it possible to centralize control of lubrication to end-line components. This lubrication feeding system, in which oil is in the form of micro mist, ensures stable lubrication over long, complex piping systems.

Series VFS consists of 5 port pilot solenoid valves with metal seals and base mounted or body ported type manifolds. Base mounted manifolds are available in plug-in and non plug-in styles. Body ported manifolds are available with bar or separate type manifold bases. Port sizes range from 1/8 to 3/4 with Rc(PT), NPTF & G(PF) thread types available. Various options also available.

SMC has improved product performance and reliability with the redesigned SY series valve. The SY3000 and SY5000 have the same valve width as their predecessors, but the flow has been increased by up to 80%, allowing the valve size to be reduced. A built-in strainer in the pilot valve prevents trouble caused by foreign matter. By using H-NBR seal material for the main valve and seals, Ozone resistance has been improved. Side, top and bottom port/pipe directions are available to allow flexible installation. The SY is available in body ported or base mounted styles, and can be used individually or manifold mounted.

Series MGG integrates a round body cylinder for its power source with external guide rods to isolate the load bearing from the movement of the actuator's rod and seals for a compact and light weight unit. The stroke adjustment (up to 50 mm) can be either on the extend or retract cycle. It is enhanced with shock absorbers at the end of stroke for maximum kinetic energy absorption. Non-rotating accuracy ranging from +/-0.02° for 100 mm bore to +/-0.07° for 20 mm bore.

CP96, profile tube design ISO cylinder with enclosed tie rods, is available in 6 bore sizes from ø32 to ø125mm. High accuracy covers and tie rod nuts improve mounting accuracy and extend the cylinder life. Increasing the precision of the bushing and piston rod, as well as reducing tolerances, has decreased the deflection of the piston rod. Standard strokes range from 25 to 800mm.

The MHL2-Z is designed for applications that require a wide range of travel for gripping many different sized work pieces; the updated MHL2 Series finger motion is synchronized by a rack-and-pinion mechanism. The double construction creates a compact gripper with a large holding force.

The series LMU spray unit is used to deliver atomized lubrication to up to six individual points. Air pressure, air flow lubricant quantity independently adjustable. The unit is electrically switched to spray lubricant or, as required to blow air only. The LMU can be used to spray oil, kerosene, cutting fluid and a wide range of other fluids. It has applications in machine tools, roll forming machines, die casting for the spraying of mold release and other manufacturing processes where lubricant or coolant spray is required.

Series ITV electro-pneumatic and electronic vacuum regulators control air/vacuum pressure steplessly in proportion to an electric signal. They are light weight in design with a bright and easy to read LED display. The monitor output is available either as analog output or switch output. The ITV series is IP65 equivalent.

Series NCA1 medium duty tie rod cylinders are NFPA interchangeable, have a crimped piston rod assembly, are pre-lubricated and available in 11 mounting styles. Bore sizes range from 1.5 to 4 inches. The NCA1 expanded line of medium duty cylinders offer bore sizes ranging from 5 to 8 inches, and come standard with adjustable air cushion.

KQ2 one-touch, metric and inch size fittings are available in a wide variety of sizes, body styles and thread types. The use of a special profile seal allows the KQ2 to be used for a wide range of pressures from a low vacuum up to a pressure of 1MPa. The KQ2 release collar releases both the chuck and collet to provide a low disconnection force for easy removal of the tubing.

SMC manufactures Fluoro-resin tubing for use in environments involving high temperatures and/or corrosive fluids. Pneumatic tubing is also available in a number of other materials both with and without reinforcement for use in standard applications. SMC fittings incorporate a positive tube seal while the fitting is under pressure which allows polyurethane tubing to be used.

Tubing is available in sizes of 1/8", 5/32", 3/16", 1/4", 5/16", 3/8", and 1/2". Metric tubing sizes of 3.2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, and 16mm are available.

VQ valves are ideal for applications requiring high speed, frequent operation, stable response time and long service life. Innovative mounting methods allow valves to be changed without entirely disassembling the manifold. Built-in one-touch fittings save piping time and labor.

Series NCM stainless steel cylinder offers space savings, high performance, and interchangeability with other stainless steel cylinders. A wear ring extends the seal life and a bronze rod bushing is standard on all bore sizes. The NCM is available in 4 mounting styles (front nose, double end, rear pivot, and block mount) as well as double rod and spring return or spring extend models. The NCM is auto-switch capable without any change in cylinder dimension. Bore sizes range from 7/16" to 2" and standard strokes from 1/2" to 12".

Series VH rotary hand valve's compact design and variety of flow rates make it ideal for a wide range of applications requiring manual directional control. The slide ring design makes the VH valve easy to operate while offering a high tolerance to contamination with its "self-cleaning, wiping action".

The element-less specification eliminates the need for replacement. Air containing water droplets is rotated to remove them by centrifugal force.

The new JSXFA series is a high performance pulse valve for reverse jet dust collector applications. The JSXFA has variable port sizes and available in threaded and compression fitting connections. The JSXFA also has reduced air consumption and increased peak pressure. The heavy elastomer diaphragm allows the JSXFA to achieve its 10 million cycle life.
